Have you ever heard about "Duolingo". It is an app to teach language in the easiest way. Imagine being on a bus going to your home. You have 20 minutes to arrive. You are also learning a language. This app lets you practise in such a short time for free. Both as a teacher and a student, you can use or suggest this app. I want to show you every step on the app. 

Welcome to Duolingo. Since I wanted to show you this app for Turkish students learning English. I created a new account.



Firstly, you have to choose the target language, then your  mother tongue. 





The third step is to choose your goal. There are 4 options. I chose the regular 10 minutes a day. Then you choose the path. I chose already know some english assuming that the students have basic knowledge. 







On your main page, this is what you will see. Topics and your level for each topic. After finishing all the topics on the first stage you will be aable to study the second stage. 



Let's see how this app teaches language. As you can see, it asks you to translate the sentences or choose the words after listening to the voice record. It also gives you a test with multiple choices. 
 It also let you practise your speaking like this one. 










During all of this, if you don't remember or know the words included in the activity, you can always select that word and the meaning will appear on the page. Another great side of this app is that it gives you hints for new vocabulary or structure on new stages.


After completing those tasks, you complete the levels. If you study enough for your daily goal, your daily strike starts. 



This app makes you enjoy learning a language. It is so easy to use. Also, be ready to get notifications every day from duolingo. I hope your students enjoy completing the tasks and reaching the goals.

UPDATES ON THE PROJECT

 Hello my dear readers. This week started with us creating the last steps of our project before presenting. We were mostly on Zoom as a group discussing and making changes, adding details to our work. We had both an amazing and tiring time during the last week of project. We as a group worked on our website design details more than the last days. However, our focus was on analyzing the survey we conducted. Survey gave us so much data we had to work on. I can honestly say that it was the most exhausting part of doing this project yet it was also fun. Seeing so many different views, comments were entertaining. Mostly because the high school students who answered the survey questions worded their thoughts in so many creative ways. But again it showed me how hard it is to analyze data for a research. Hi everyone!!! Ill be talking about the app called Seesaw on this post. Seesaw is an application for both students and teachers to use. Today was my first time using this app so I'll give you my 100% honest opinions. First you have to sign up and I did sign up as a teacher to give a better review. After the signing up process, you are ready to have a class, activity. As you can see you have to the grade of your students then you can post student work or an activity. I tried my first activity on the app. To be honest, it was hard until i figure out the links and attachments. To assign an activity you see this page and all you have to do is type your instructions for the assignment then add pictures, voices or links about the assignment.  As you can see I left a picture for students to edit as I also ask them to add photos and a voice record to tell the colours of the items around them. 8th Week of Training

 Hi, today I will be talking about an another week of our project's process. This week I was assigned to search and create a text about the good examples of synchronous online distance learning tools.However, we did not have any online meetings because of my friends' busy schedule so I did my part on my own. As far as we have talked, we will, of course, contribute to each other's parts and fix the text if there are any issues.  I did my search mostly on Zoom and Microsoft Teams and their use/benefits to distance learning. I found some articles about the mentioned tools yet I don't think what I found is enough since I couldn't do a proper, wider search because of my final assignments.  I highlighted everything I found important on the articles and divided them into sub-sets to create the whole text.
