THINGLINK

Hello everyone, i hope you are having a wonderful time at your homes social distancing. Today i want to talk about an award winning education app called "Thinglink". With thinglink you can create photos, videos to make more interesting lessons. You can also create 360° photos or videos to make the best use of the app. This app might help your students enjoy their time while learning new information. As we know students learn best when they are included in the process and such apps like Thinglink make it possible for kids to learn by themselves with teacher's guidance.

In Thinglink, you can create photos with audio, texts or links attached to them. You can also add scenes and tag animations. Adding more pictures to your photo setting is also possible. So what happens is simply when you click the tags on the photo you will see everything attached to it like the texts about the photo or audio talking about what's on the photo. The most fun part of using this app is that you can create interactive 360 videos and photos. You can also use the app to place your videos and photos to allow your student get the ideas better.

I joined Thinglink as a teacher but there are many other options as well. As a student you have to type your group invite code your teacher has given. So, as an English teacher I created a media about some English authors and poets for older students. As you can see, I chose pictures of those poets to start.

Then, for the Shakespeare example, I put a link to one of his plays.

I put a description telling who he was and what he did for English literature and the below I put a link to a website which had all of his works for the students to look.

Lastly, the book animated logo takes students to a website about his life.

I did the same steps for other writers and poets as well.

I really enjoyedd making those medias and I believe such tools enables students to give more attention to what they are learning since it includes visuals, audios and interesting websites. I hope my attempt to make my own Thinglink medias can help you use it. Have good day. See you on my next post.
